Hey all,
It's been a while since I've posted on here, but I wanted to let people know about the guide dog conference that I host on Wednesday nights at 10 PM eastern time. Anyone from any school can come and talk who has current dogs. Or if you have a retired dog, or just want to ask questions if you're interested in getting a dog, you're welcome to join to. Really anyone can come in, as long as they don't mind talking about our four legged friends. If you're interested in talking with us, the number is 724-444-3592. You hit 2 from the main menu and it'll tell you to enter in a code up to ten digits, and you hit 3 6 4 then pound and you'll be in. That code spells out dog, so it'll be easy to remember. It's a line for blind and visually impaired folks, but there's a few sighties who come on to.
Anyway, besides the dog conference, things have been going well with me and Chelsea. I went for a walk yesterday since it was so beautiful out, and it was today to, but we didn't get a chance to get out. But she did wonderful yesterday. I was surprised since we haven't been out in a while since it was so cold this winter. But it's strange, it being so warm in Minnesota in March, but I'll take it I guess. She got sick a few days ago with a stomach bug so she was throwing up a lot, but she's fine now. Thank god it only lasted one day. I never thought that I'd love her, but I finally do. The first year is always the hardest, and I already know that, but I'm glad that our bond is really working now. So anyway, I've gotta run and take her out, but I'll come on here more often and chat. So if anyone's interested in the conference it's on Wednesdays so far, unless people wanna do it twice a week. So for now, I'm gonna get outta here, and talk to you later on tonight.
Hey cool! I think I'll try and join--maybe next week if I have time-- thanks for the info!
Is that the Talk Shop system? I could never figure out how that worked. But I'd definitely be interested since I'm seriously considering applying at another guide dog school, well several actually.
